ATLAS Directory
ATLAS Directory is the canonical catalogue of ships, shipyards, sites, ports, facilities, and major equipment your organisation tracks over time. Each record is the managed spatial identity downstream modules reference for layouts, inventory readiness, and permit location context.

When to Use
Use ATLAS Directory when you are creating or maintaining managed spatial records before connecting them to location trees, project roots, or operational modules such as PTW and SHARD permits.
How to add an ATLAS Directory item
Directory items are catalogue records — distinct from location models and location tree nodes. Register a site or facility, then open its detail panel.

Site inventory overview Site inventory is the operational list of sites, vessels, yards, and facilities, with their location setup available from the same screen.

Start inventory item Create inventory item opens the new site dialog to register a physical asset or facility.

Directory item details Enter name (for example “Demo Help Site”), site type, and description. Inventory items are catalogue records, not location trees.
Prefer reusing an existing demo directory record when present instead of creating duplicates each run.

Created inventory item detail The saved item appears in Site inventory with the detail panel ready for edits and location setup.
Access
Open ATLAS → Directory in the main app, or continue with Location Layouts once directory records exist.
